Yoav Gerber — Hebrew-English Translator

About

Who I am

I’m Yoav Gerber — a native bilingual translator and business-communications specialist. Born to an American father and an Israeli mother, I’ve been fluent in Hebrew and English since childhood and am professionally grounded in both cultures. That bilingualism isn’t only linguistic; it’s cultural. I understand how business language works in Israeli and American contexts — the differences in register, formality, and expectation that a word-for-word translation misses — which is the difference between a translation that technically reads in the target language and one that sounds right to the people who live and work in it.

Professional background

Before founding Market-Ready English, I spent several years as Marketing Director at two Israeli software companies operating in global markets, responsible for English-language content and communications that had to meet the standards of international partners, investors, and enterprise clients. That gave me something most translators don’t have: an understanding of how business documents are actually used. A contract is read by lawyers. An investment memo drives a decision. A product page has to convert. The translation has to serve the document’s purpose — not just convey its words.

How I work

Market-Ready English uses structured AI-assisted workflows combined with systematic expert review — faster turnaround and lower cost than fully manual translation, with the accuracy and consistency business documents demand. Every project is reviewed by an experienced human translator; nothing is passed through a tool and sent unchecked. Terminology is verified, tone is matched to the document’s purpose, and consistency is maintained across every file.
